 Never heard of it.

A brief description of the 305 v6 motor....

The 305-cubic-inch (5.0 L) 305 had a 4.25 in (108 mm) bore and 3.58 in stroke (90.9 mm). The 305 V6 was the standard pickup truck engine for GMC from 1960 to 1966, and was one of the first V6 engines produced by an American company.

I'm pretty sure the "c" should not be on there but there was a 305 v6 for a few years.

:High 5: no problem :) They are not a widely known motor and are not real easy to find. There's a couple of folks in my truck club with them in their truck and that's how I first heard about them

Nope, its supposed to be there, i dont know what it stands for, but I saw an old factory manual that had the c on it. GMC also had a 302ci inline 6 stovebolt engine.

:waytogo: I'll believe ya :D Yeah, I've heard of the 302 stovebolt motor. There's a club that attends our truck show every year called "The Stovebolters" and all are enthusiasts of the 3012 stovebolt motor.

Many of them also had plaid-painted valve covers. Also, the valve covers are shaped a little like the 348-409 valve covers.

Yep, Dave knew a little something some of you didn't. Now give him Kudos.

I'll add, bucket is right about the valve cover shape being like the Old first generaton BBC, the 348 and 409. But it is one biggo ugly heavy hunk of motor and what is real funny looking, it only has a single barrel carb that doesn't look much different than a pot smokin bong.

I would Luuuuv to inject one of those and maybe hang a turbo off the side, and stick it in the Burb!

That is nothing more than 2 GMC motors made into one. It's not joined, it's actually manufactured that way. That is 2 GMC 351's into 2 of them. Same rods, pistons and heads.

But check out the distributor-less ignition.
