Exactly that. Have you DE SMOGGED it?? As in remove the emmisions equipment, like air lines in the exhaust manifolds for the AIR pump. Also, is the headers smog legal???

ya fun stuff, i had my pos battery cable hook up with my header a few years back on my long bed, everything went dark and the motor shut off... good thing i was two houses down from a friends house and could push it there. new wire and i was good to go.
so ya, checking wire placement is one thing i always look at twice

I kinda knew that. I knew it didn't have OEM AIR pump, but unsure about the rest. Had to esplain to Dave about DE SMOGGING. But, he should be good to go with those headers being legal if he left the Cat(s) on.

That was confusing to me. Why did they state that if non of them had it? I changed the vehicle year to 87 for giggles, and it picked some different headers, all saying "w/out AIR". I thought most shortys could be emission compliant??

Yeah they do, only its an electric air pump mounted behind the drivers side inner fender behind the headlight.
