Bucket,I was looking into a dual battery thread that you commented on.Your batteries wired in series...Do you just have the aux battery grounded to the frame and positive going to other battery positive?Like you,I’m not trying to do isolators and complicate the set up.Just looking for more reserve and with a winch, not straining the system so much.

      Thanks for any info

Yep, that's basically exactly how I've got it set up. The ground cable on the aux battery goes to the frame, with a second smaller ground to the body.

Hey bucket, any idea where i can get the trim piece on the top lip of a '70s hood? The one on my truck is cracking and turning brown. Makes the girl look bad. Thanks again

I don't have a good source for them. The last few I've found were turning brown and cracking as well.

Hey man do you know if a double headlight grille would fit a 4 headlight squarebody?

Yes as long as it's the correct year range. You will need to rig up a way to fasten the parking lights though.

Can I get some spec info on your dually? Lift, tire size, etc... I'm starting a build and like the look of yours. Thanks in advance for your time.

Thanks! It's a 4 inch lift, Superlift or Skyjacker, I can't remember which. I'd have to look to be sure. The front springs have sagged some due to the big block and there used to be a winch on the front. It actually has 3" blocks in the rear. The tires are bias ply 9.00x16's which are roughly a 36" x 10". There's 3" spacers between the rear duals for sidewall clearance.

Thanks for the compliment. Like to know about the SS wagon. Color? Engine? Etc. I used to have a registry to those car. Wondering if I know of it.
Go to YouTube and check out Menards Chevy show 2018. Episode 1806. Wagon was featured first minute of the show.
      Thanks again. Dave

I've only seen the SS wagon from the road. It's black with silver lower stripe, if I remember right. It's in the back lot of a used car dealer and my buddy has seen it up close and talked to the owner about it. He said it's a 350 and it runs if you pour fuel down the carb. I think he said it was a black interior too.

Question for you, If #0000 steel wool is really good for chrome; what would you do to prep and repaint the recessed areas?
