The lens on the reverse lights is so opaque that even with bright LED lightbulbs I could not see what I was backing into. A pair of bright white LED solved the problem

wonder if a good cleaning, then taking a heat gun to the lens if they would "rejuvenate" the plastic? I think I have a few old spares I can try it on.

Well after being out helping my neighbors at 4am with down trees in the big storm, what a mess! I got the floor jack filled up and it works! Still have to test it out under the truck to make sure it holds. Trees are down all over the frozen boulder from the storm and now it's snowing this morning! Mother Nature is having a hot flash

Found a decent fender replacement for mine at the junkyard. Just have to weld up the trim holes.

What's the best thing to put on it to kill out the rust? Its just starting to bubble in the bottom rear corner. It's not a show truck and Im probably just gonna spray bomb it with some Krylon thats pretty close for now

Pulled the box 1 man style getting ready for a C-notch and flip with CalTracs. Any recommendations on a budget friendly rust converter and paint for topcoat? Happy Saturday!

Do the flip and see where she lands mine did not need a C notch which works for me as I'd rather not chop up the frame. Just ground down the rivets and knocked the bump stop brackets off. However, I don't haul stuff with mine so there's never any weight in the bed other than the 20-gallon fuel cell. Also, under a hard launch/acceleration even a burn out using the line lock she separates due to the CalTracs.

POR 15 and Eastwood seem to be the most popular rust inhibitors.

Starting to think adhd/ocd are a bad combination to have - should I continue with the cab floor dings or just stop and finish with metal prep:banghead:

had the balljoints changed last year on the passenger side. No issues until last week I went thru some construction and there was a hella bump (at least 6" immediate drop making a hard left turn to get onto ramp). Thought she was falling apart.....but everything settled so I got on the interstate and moved one. A week later, I started getting random fairly solid right pulls doing 60 going straight. Also, noticed random "help" turning in parking lots.

Jacked it up and it had some play top/bottom. Ordered spindle nuts just in case (Warn for $110) , but turned out the outer spindle nut was only hand tight. When I had the ball joints changed the inner spindle nut was broke on one side is why I ordered the spindle nuts.

Pulled it apart to inspect bearings and spindle, all was well except for the loose spindle nut. Cranked it to 120# on assembly and called it a day.

Also got to try out the new Bauer impact ($160 with 5Ah batt and charger). Handled the lug nuts like no business.
