I felt the same way with the factory wheel and a new bench, I could barely slide under the seat. After trying a autozone chrome 3 spoke I decided to give this Gran 689 a try. Far more room for legs, but with the adapter its only maybe a inch more room than the factory wheel. I am also contemplating the syndicate shorter column but for this summer, this will do just fine

This. These columns are 2" shorter in the cab, but some of the other guys can shorten them in the cab or under the hood side or both. I'm ~5' 7" 210lbs and have always been perfectly comfortable in my truck. I will say going to the smaller Comfort Grip style wheel did make it even better, it's 15" in diameter vs the factory 16"

Side bar.... What's the "Coming Soon" trans tunnel thing? Inquiring minds want to know. :Big Laugh:

That's an olddddd picture, that was the prototype for our "high hump" for '84-up trucks. We now have the '67-72 high hump, '73-80 2wd high hump '73-80 4wd high hump and rear piece and the '84-up high hump.

I’m a small guy but with new seat foam the factory wheel with 3-4” of dish was way too close.
This is a Grant 1916, it’s 13” and basically flat.
I’m still looking locally for a tilt wheel.

What Old Guy Bill said: If your steering wheel is dished, try to find one that's not. And decrease the diameter by 2". That's what I did on a 69 that I have.

Ok here are the 87 c10 and 93 s10 blazer columns side by side. Talked to one of the buddies who did it and he said the only mods necessary are to move the mounts one set of holes toward the wheel on the s10 column and slight trimming of the sleeve, as the mount being moved will require it.

A few parts are missing from the s10 column but the firewall ends are aligned which puts the neutral safety switches in line. You can see the difference in the mounts which requires moving it a set of holes. Can also see the length difference.

Another shot just showing the difference in length.

Will the 84-up humps be made with the t-case shifter holes and mounting rings for the 208? I looked at them last year when they came out but that is what is holding me off buying one. If I have to put my t case mount in one, and then install it in my cab, it may not be worth the effort.
