I went and looked at the 454 and burb thats it in is nice. But steering column is missing. It also has the double swinging doors in the back. Its a 3/4 ton 2wd. he's said its either 85 or 88 burb. He wants $600 for burb and all or $175 for just the locked up 454. Trany will need work also since it stuck in 2nd when driving. I have no where to put the burb unless I could put antique tags and park along the road in the development I live at. He's probably gonna junk it after I get motor out of it.

Can you even tag a non-running vehicle? Why can't it go in the place of the '88 that you're scrapping?

Yes you tag non running vehicle if pay for the insurance when tagging it. I dont have any to do with that place just trying get of the 88 and haul out the last 3 pushmowers that are mine. The owner of the property wont put any money into the place. The only thing to show for it is people is that last year people going shopping for free on stuff that was mine. The owner wont pay for temp electric box for cameras or buy the cameras. The vehicles that are down he wants too much money for the work they. He thinks everything is worth alot money.

I would make money? Find that hard to believe when scrap is 8-850 per 100 right know. But anyway I would buy the whole thing if I had the money to spare.

Gas will be going down in a week or 2 (here anyway) and scrap will be going back up. You could probably get $500 out of it anyway. I would go for it if you can.

Looks like there are a lot of useable parts on it too just looking at the outside. Assuming they might be OEM parting it could be profitable too

A shame about the blown motor, the body looks real solid in the pics. No steering column? I guess you'd need a trailer to get her out of there then huh?

Just called scrap yard and its 9.50 per 100 autos and other metal. But autos must have a big hole in the gas tank.

I had missed the part about the locked up 454. I think I would pass on it, or try to talk him down closer to $100 for just the motor.
