Right now I'm running a 2.5" with a thrush turbo style muffler. One of my friends has a 4" he said he'd give me, but it wasn't on a old truck. I know it won't have as much back pressure but how much will that affect my power?

It could effect it quite a bit. Unless you have a monster motor you don't need that big of exhaust.

4 is too big. stick with the 2.5 as it's the best size

If you really want the 4 inch pipe only use it after the muffler as a tail pipe. It'll likely the bigger pipe will make for a deeper exhaust note.

And people will look at you funny for having such an absurdity on your truck.

I see you are "young" so I give this advice... just put it on and see what happens!!

It will probably kill some low end power, but by how much... who really knows? You might love it... but you will never know unless you just do it! Who cares what a bunch of people on a forum say or think?!

Yeah but don't be a dork. Get a Dodger or a Ford if you want to do that.

I'm sorry I've offended you sir but I'm not sure of which excrement you speak of.

George liked it.

You will loose a crapload of low end torque. No bigger than 3" for single, dual 2.25 for duals on a stock-ish engine.
