I think I got lucky. Both 14 bolt backing plates have 13 inch brakes on them.

Of course one photo decides to go landscape orientation, and the other portrait orientation. I made a point to hold the phone for landscape.

This is what my engine will look like....

It's not mine, but found this photo today. Same exhaust manifolds I'll be using, same engine color, and of course, same intake manifold. :)

So, the first adapter plate didn't work, the idle speed adjustment screw hit the top of the plate.

If it didn't hit there, the screw would have hit the bottom of the notched area, not allowing WOT. Discussed the issues with the machinist and collectively we came up with redesign. Got it today. Oddly, the 2G he used to mock it up on his end cleared that area, he showed me, and it cleared just fine. Either way, he made a new one and I sent the first one back.

This is the new one. I had him make a spacer this time so it was guaranteed that the carb would have full functionality and adjustability.

Shown at WOT...

No time to explain details. Crusty Biscuit bit the dust today. Not our fault, but couldn't avoid it. So pissed. We're all okay, though.

I won't be on here the rest of the weekend. Tons of stuff to do and sort out. In the meantime, waiting for my wife to get back with a tow strap so we can tow it home. AAA failed us.

You'll have to tell us what happened when you do have time. I kind of had a soft spot for your truck. I had a 65 C20 in the 90s I came up over rise about 10 miles from home on the highway which at the time was posted 55, at the top of the hill use to be an intersection where only the side street stopped, long story short someone in a van pulled out right in front of me. I had no time to react and slammed into the side of the van. I didn't have the door damage but the front looked about like yours. Bumper stayed put but the radiator pushed into the fan. I walked away and so did the van driver. Glad you guys are ok.
