Air cleaner

Will my OE cleaner work with a 4 barrel? its currently on a Rochester 210 Q-jet @ barrel and would be going on a Edelbrock Performer #1406

No, the 4 barrel opening is round. Also you may have to run a spacer under the air cleaner due to the width of the 1406. These are pictures of my 4 barrel air cleaner.

Does anyone have a 4-barrel 5-1/8" round OEM air cleaner for sale? My son has an '86 C30 with a 350 and a Edelbrock 1406 and headers so it won't warm up in cool/cold weather so a warm air intake is my only option as far as I know. Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't warm up how? Water temp? Doesn't run good?

Sounds more like a stuck open thermostat, or lack of a thermostat.

I have no hot air riser on my 350. Have started in -40F and drive all winter long.

Back to the original question - a stock air cleaner will not seat properly on an Edelbrock 1406 because the side fuel fitting sticks out and gets in the way. Edelbrock and other companies sell a plastic spacer that is about 1” high to put on top of the 1406, and that provides enough clearance. Also, if you happen to have a parts vehicle with a TBI, that engine usually has a taller metal spacer (maybe 2 1/2”) that should also work.
