Pulled it out of winter storage and freshened up the paint. Runs very well with the new 350 crate engine. That project I did last winter.

Spent the whole weekend with my son on his c10 restoring the exhaust and changing valve cover gaskets. It would have not been possible without a torch to heat and soak hardware with pb and reheat etc. I would have been searching for parts otherwise. it was fun doing the same thing to his truck that I had to do to mine. Only difference was that I put on long tube headers lol.

The Bilsteins are great- took a loop around town.

Got home and had a few minutes so upon Steve Dulcich’s suggestion, I picked up some of this Dawn stuff and started cleaning the M/T valve covers. This stuff is awesome! It actually was working better than brake cleaner since it hangs around instead of evaporating.

I hit the raw aluminum parts with a rubber eraser wheel, then some fine grit sandpaper, being mindful to only go in one direction. They weren’t in perfect shape, so now they’ll have a mild brushed aluminum look.
