Hi All, I've seen the threads detailing adding relays to the headlight circuit.
My question is what relay to use?

Thanks!

If you’re asking that, making your own relay kit (2 relays actually) may be difficult.
But buy you a Toyota light kit (find the thread on here). It’s a quality plug and play relay setup and you get free headlights. For cheaper than a quality relay setup from the classic car places.
Don’t buy an Amazon kit. They’re cheap. I bought one and it was not worth anything. Period.

If you have skills you can wire it it up. If not I'll give you simple directions. If you need something less generic hit me up in a couple of days when my brain is straight again. Run terminal 30 to the battery through a fuse, run 87 as headlight power, the wire you were using for headlight power run it to 85 run 86 to ground. When terminal 86 sees power it will close the relay and provide 12 volts through terminal 87 to power the headlamp with out the volt drop through the switch and existing wiring.

Hopefully someone will chime in that has tried it. The video with Kevin Tietz is good and saw no
Issues with it.

Just need 2 30amp relays and maybe some wire, depending on what you have.

Here is the 4 headlight wiring diagram from boxrodz
