If I ever get down your way I'm gonna look you up.....

That would be cool and you are welcome to knock on my door anytime. But I must warn you I can no longer cook for guest on that particular pit as I sold it. One of the in-laws at the reunion made me an offer I couldn't refuse, $8000.00. He pulled it home from there. Hated to do it but like they say money talks! Only paid 1400.00 for the trailer so I figured not to bad , 6600.00 for my time and labor welding together some stuff I got free, LOL. But no fears, I have since built a smaller pit which is more than adequate, so come on down!!

Don't really have any recent day or two projects other than what I've posted in the thread "What have you done to your square lately" but here is a project from a few years ago that was accomplished 2 days at a time (only worked on it on weekends) over the course of 3 months. Hopefully this qualifies. Built mostly from left overs (free lol, it was good being the lead welder) from the oilfield fabrication shop I retired from a few years ago. Although I did buy the trailer on which

I had to modify my kitchen cabinets, in anticipation of the new fridge getting delivered. Swapped some doors around so the narrower ones were over the stove and the wider ones would be over the fridge, that way the widths would match. But before the wider doors could be put in their new home, I had to take about 3.25" from the bottom of that cabinet.

New fridge in place:

I almost didn't shorten the cabinet enough:

But now that I know it clears, I can cut up the doors and mount them.

Nice fridge!!!!

We really like it, it's a big step up from our old fridge. It's the biggest we could get and we specifically wanted NO ice maker in the door for even more space.

It's awesome having the fridge part on top. I don't have to bend over to grab a beer, lol.

All great projects guys! Keep them coming!

Here's the final result of the tool cart.
Birch butcher block top with some wipe on poly, got the side locker painted to very crudely match (anyone with a Kennedy knows that matching/replicating the wrinkle finish is pretty much out of the question)
What you can't see is 4 outlets on the inside of the locker and 4 on the backside, to allow power to charge my drill batteries, phone, Ipad, speaker, fan, electric fence power supply, lamp.

Brought my old roller cab back home to be the new base for my late grandfathers Huot top and Kennedy mechanics riser.

Having the forklift sure made unloading easy.

Sorry, do not know how to delete some of this. The riser is a Red Kennedy? Never seen anything but a Kennedy brown??

The red Kennedy's are a scarcer sight, but were marketed towards mechanics, or i suppose even maintenance workers. I would say that the large majority are brown though, but Kennedy still does sell red boxes, with a suffix of R at the end of the model, instead of B for brown.

That is cool to know! Just ignorant, did not know Kennedy made a red box. Like the old Craftsman grey Machinist box, love to find one of them! Love old tool boxes, kind of partial to old Mac boxes myself. Have one that I'm sure the old man is long since past past but when I got it the paint is wore off behind the drawer grabs, it is my favorite, and though I do not know him, he is thought about every time i see it!!
