Today I picked up a set (well..almost a set, got 3) rally style wheels for my 85 GMC. I need one more, 15X8-6 lug, I tried to post in the “wanted” section, unfortunately, I have “insufficient privelages” to post? I found one on eBay but the center hub section doesn’t look as large as the three I have. If anyone has a rim, or could point me in the right direction, that’s all I need to get it licensed and on the road. Thanks!
It's funny you say that. At one of my local junkyards, they use stacked rims to hold up the cars. They weld 2 wheels together to make a stack. I was there ye other day crawling under a Tahoe, and noticed that one of the rim stacks holding it up was a 6 lug chevy ralley wheel. I was so bummed.

I have close to 2 sets of 6 lug GM's. I'm running all 8 lug stuff anymore, except for my '64 C-10. Shipping to Kentucky will be expensive though.

Installed stainless bed caps, IMPOSSIBLE to find them w/stake holes! Also took the Meguire's Paint Cleaner wax to the black on the back of the cab, the upper doors & box sides including tailgate. That stuff is AMAZING if any of you have never tried it. Amazing what it does to old, faded paint, highly recommended!

Last week I ripped out every single wire from the rear to the firewall. This week I plan on starting the process of rewiring it all. So stoked to see all this wire spaghetti cleaned up. The horrors I have witnessed make me wonder how I drove this for years without ever breaking down somewhere remote or catching fire.

I did tool and die for 20 yrs. Guy I worked with did a stint with Autozone during an extended layoff. Said a guy called in looking for an air filter for a Pontiac Goulie. Fella said there was no such car and the guy got mouthy. Said he would bring it down to prove it.

It was a Pontiac 6000 LE.

Go figure.
My dad had an 86 pontiac 6000. I ran the hell outta that car! Mom had my grandpas 6000 wagon too.

Got the rest of the truck painted yesterday. With any luck that’s the last time the paint cans get opened for a while!
Wet sanding commences today…got a couple days off so I can get er smoothed out and shined up while the clear coat is soft…

I finished installing the door panels and trim. That wraps up the interior except for the lmc heavy duty matt. I will report back. Then I cussed out the FNG! It seems he took all the sheet metal out back to the scrap yard for beer money. That included the hold down bolt and bracket for my jack handle and lug wrench that was attached to my old inner fender. :(
Does anyone have said gold plated item on a parts truck or under their bench they would sell? That item seems to be unobtanium in local yards as well as on the interwebs.

The little bracket with the wing nut that goes on the inner fender to hold down the jack and handles, and the plastic jack base shaped box that it sits in? Yeah, I got some. Have the whole inner fender with it all bolted on.

Would you mind snapping a picture of that for me? I have the plastic jack base,

I have a 87k10 mounted jack on drivers side. I thought the handle and lug wrench went on pass Side? not sure at this point. It's why I hate the FNG lol

I removed the "1500" logos on the doors.
