I could use one!

Installed a new radiator to replace the leaking like a sive one that it came with. Test drive went much better today. Still have the crank issue. May have to bite the bullet and get a new battery.

My drivers door has always been a PITA to close all the way. I hate slamming doors or anything else for that matter, but that’s what it took to close it all the way. Then I found the thread here about using 1/2” PEX to make new sleeves for the door catch. Some of my original sleeve was still there but not much.

Bought a stick of 1/2” PEX and made and installed a new sleeve. HUGE improvement!! Door shuts normally again!

Plus I have enough left over material to make replacement sleeves for the next 1268 years.

Got the 1156 led bulbs in for the reverse lights today. Had 1157 but they won't fit because the little tabs are offset instead of straight across. I'll show pics latter to compare to the old ones. A little smaller but the 1157 was bought years ago so design and technology has improved probably idk.

Another little easy trick is, if your striker is actively dragging on the door latch (the flat shiny spot on the top), assuming your hinges are in good condition (which I’m sure they are on that beauty blazer), just shim out the bottom door hinge slightly. You won’t notice anything different in the door alignment but it will pick up the door just a tad and not drag on the striker.
Both my squares doors shut so nice with pex sleeves and hinge shims.
Only thing is both drivers doors (used 10x more than passenger side doors I’m sure) have a much more metallic sound when latching and the passenger doors are a friendlier muted sound. But I think that would require replacing the latches with new ones

So, drove it to the cruise in yesterday, and that was fun but it sure had a couple moments on the way there when the gas wasn't going again. When we left it didn't have a very good sounding ignition, but drove home better than on the way to the show. When warming up to go to the cruise in it was idling very healthy. It idled high when we pulled back in the driveway and never really came down.
So now I will be looking for anything obvious this afternoon and searching through the threads for next steps.

Hauled leaves and other yard waste to the dump. Brought +3 yards of fir wood mulch home for my wife's flower beds. Drove across town (3 blocks) for a volunteer appreciation steak BBQ - with a stop at the local liquor store - then sat on the tailgate, enjoying the beer and talking with the BBQer (my cousin). It was a busy day yesterday.

Adjusted the 84's tv cable so it kicks down when I punch it. Seems to shift better too when I drove it around town. Stopped by advanced auto and got another Bosch 2 5/8" tach. This ones for the 84's steering column.
