I didn't technically do anything, but I have a lot of parts being delivered! I hope to get the LS cleaned up and install the cam in the next week or so, as well as pulling the 350 and TH400 out to prep the bay for installation. Lots to do, and even more to buy

I didn't risk it due to fins and went and picked up at a summit. Don't know if that is a realistic situation for you though.

I tried (again) to get mine stopping safely. Replaced the master cylinder 2-3 weeks ago and pedal seemed soft, plus found small pool of fluid near left front wheel that might have been brake or power steering fluid. Was up there at the rental shop this past weekend, started up to pull into a bay and the serpentine belt (less than 100 miles on it) walked off and shredded itself in the 1st 10 seconds of operation. Once in the bay found LOTS of climbing vines in the engine compartment, all the way up to the new brake master and all thru the engine bay so I suspect vines got caught up in the belt/pulleys causing the walk-off. Fortunately had a spare belt, all good there.

Couldn't find any source of leaking so opted to do a full brake bleed, now it has no brakes and probably need to pull the rear axle for rebuild. The brakes got progressively worse as we were bleeding and then for the final straw of the day the bleeder screw broke out of one of the rear wheel cylinders. Since its a full float 14 bolt theres no pulling the drums without tearing the whole rear axle down, and the odds of successfully doing that and having it work when done are (based on everything else I've tried to work on with this truck) surprisingly close to zero.

Lately it has been getting stared at in the driveway as it decided to develop rod knock across town on an errand.
This was about the last meaningful thing we did with it a few months ago, drove it out to Long Beach and visited the girl's step dad at his property out there.
One of these days I'll pull the pan and see if I caught it fast enough to just roll some new bearings in...

Haven't done anything yet other than drive it but I picked up a new sender for the fuel cell as the current one doesn't give me a reading since the last fill up and grabbed a couple 2 wire Deutsch connectors to correct a couple connections.

Got the new frame patch cap in from Summit. Ordered it on Friday and FedEx dropped it off on Sunday. Fairly impressed with the overall quality of the piece I got sent. Rust Buster Frameworks coated it in light oil to protect it from rusting but should be an easy clean and prep with some Acetone. Drilled out all the rivets on the spring hanger so the patch section can be put on. Got a better look at the crack and it's not pretty. Few of the bottom rivets were frozen and came out with some frame that was pretty thin. Seen the crack basically ran from the bottom of the rail clean to the top and just stopped there. Luckily the spring hanger held it together enough to get her home.

New piece looks pretty good and fits pretty well. Have to order some grade 8 standard hardware because for some silly reason they sent some M10 Class 10.9 bolts and nuts. Got some Grade 8 3/8-16 hardware coming in hopefully by Friday. This way I can finish getting it prepped and bolted together for a buddy down the street to put some fresh beads on the patch so that I can get her finished up and back together. Hoping to be done by this Sunday for a local show at my daughters old high school to benefit a local PD and their K9 officers.

The 10mm hardware is likely by design. You want a good snug fit with the hardware to provide a more solid connection like the frame rivets did.

Yep, 10.9 is a wee bit stronger than grade 8 too.
