Hey folks,
The 700r4 annoys me. And inha e the parts to put a turbo in my 6.2 and ya, it won't make it a power house, thats not my goal here. But with more control of what gear im in, I can maximise the torque band I want. Anyways,
Its a 4x4 woth NP208 tcase with passenger side drop.
I've researched this a bunch already. Theres a nice YouTube series of a guy doing close to the same thing, (he swapped a NV4500 in from a Th400). Broke it down really nicely with what steps are needed etc.etc... bit then before he even goes for a drive his last video, he sells the truck. Disappointing. Anyways. Seeing someone physically do the sane-ish steps was helpful.
He didn't have have to lengthen nor shorten the driveshafts. So first question, if anyone's done this before is, would I need to lengthen or shorten the driveshafts?
Also, the clutch pedal assembly. That plate that goes underneath the steering wheel/column with the brake and clutch pedals. I've looked around on ebay. Not cheap those things.
Are there any after market clutch pedals that work, and can do the same thing? Should I go for those or am I better off getting the GM original part
Im not quite there yet. Still need to source a nv4500. Rare pieces those things. Then I know kw ill need a 6.5 flywheel m, clutch, adapter housing and drill out holes for master cylinder etc...
However, if anyone's done this build or similar one before im definitely open to hearing your stories and feedback dos and don'ts..
Cheers all, thanks
