Man, looking at that frame 'patina', I bet I could drive mine out there with its CA 'patina' and get primo price. Enough to pay for the trip and get another one to replace it.

Might be hard to find another CA camper special big block with a minimum of rocker rust though.... I think I got lucky when I ran across this one, even with the stupid tweaker fixes being re-done.

Hey, make me an offer fellas, ya never know.....

Gotta wonder whether buying frames from Arizona junk yards and loading a semi with them to truck back to the rust belt states would pay. Then do a 180 with low milage power trains from rusted out hulks to make money on the return.

I had a bit of time last night, so I cleaned up the shop a bit and started to get the square ready for the swap. Nothing major yet, just pulled the radiator, may go out tonight to start disconnecting everything else. I hope to have the motor out in the next week or so.

New electric fan and radiator.
Vintage air brushless 850-watt Monster fan and Dewitts radiator with stock big block radiator hold-down.

Dude! Perfect blend of modern design and old school truck. Plus I love the color, I am a sucker for a gold/bronze wheels set up!

Thanks dude! I lost so much sleep over this choice but I've always loved the 2000s rally Subarus with the blue/bronze combo so I took the gamble
