That's the side that should face the pump, not the radiator. Gotta clean up the mounting surface and pull some wobble out of its orbit. That's all just getting clear view access to the fuel pump.

Question - can one capture the fuel pump pushrod with a longer bolt on a big block like you can on a small block?

At some point emissions was removed and there was a ton of empty connectors in the engine that i removed by tracing the wires back and removing them from the main connector.

I also removed a lot of poorly routed vacuum lines and needless trash.

Adjusted the choke on the q-jet

Fixed the short in the power for the dash lights.

yup....I have deduced that someone was either in the bed and fired by mistake or someone was shooting at the bed( it is a replacement for me so I have no history). that bullet hole is from the inside out

Probably firing across the bed and their aim was a tad low. You only do that once without ear protection, it definitely rings the ear drums really bad!

I fought my new rear window over the last 3 hours by myself. Don't be like me get a helper what a pain. Was going to put a plane glass window in but the tinted ones were on backorder so another slider it is. Worked for about an hour and a half got it started part way up the sides propped it in place with a tire on the bed cover took a break for about an hour and hit it a gain for just over an hour.

Old aftermarket piece of janky crap someone jammed into a glass seal with a piece of fiberglass cut to help it fit the rounded top portion. Passenger side rattled so bad it would slide open on its own, and the driver side was so tight it only opened 1/4 of the way than you had to 2 hand it to get about 2/3rds open.

You can see the piece of fiberglass they jammed in it to make the top round

So warped that now that it's not in the truck both sides slide open normally. LOL!

The new tinted slider and rope in seal. Used some heavy gage wire as I didn't have rope light enough to fit in the channel.

When my one panel of slider (drivers side) was completely shattered one morning when I walked out to drive my truck, insurance covered it through Safelite.
While talking with the insurance folks and then the Safelite folks, I had a feeling I needed to be around when it was installed. I'm glad I was. I had to help the Safelite kid the entire time. First time he had done anything on a truck this old. We both fought getting it in for about 5 hours. It was rope in seal.
Insurance told me they most likely would be replacing with a single piece and wouldn't be able to source a sliding back window. Since it was free I went along.

@Ricko1966 was right. After I cleaned up the bloodbath and let the thread sealant dry, I noticed a weep from the choke pressure switch. New part installed, and a quick cruise before it’s parked for the oncoming rain tomorrow. I leave in a couple days for mountain biking in Moab, UT.

@radio "Had a segment of stainless piano hinge sitting around, now it's useful. And so is the glovebox."

Isn't that plastic? Is it something that can be made on a 3D printer? Just a thought for someone that has a 3D printer to make and sell

[EDIT] looking further....there's more to it. I'll dig into mine when I can to share a better opinion.

My Apologies.
