Of course. I'm going to give it some baking soda paste then a brass brush treatment to clean as best as possible. Rinse and blow out with compressor. Cross digits and hope it's better than mechanic in a can.

Not wanting to wrassle pulling connectors for replacement, but it may come to that. Probably collateral damage from the seam leak at the top of the A pillar. Some day I'll show that circus mess. Probably should pull the fuse box out and inspect that too. Stay tuned...

On occasion, I will put a little bit of aluminum foil in a suspect electrical connector to complete the circuit. Of course, I would clean those terminals as much as possible with the soda method soak in a peanut butter plastic jar. Unfortunately, the copper plating is likely gone on those terminals.

Fitted the front fender wells, attached the cowl cover, and hood hinges; ran the front light wiring, and installed the charcoal canister. I will install the new front shocks and get the heater/ac box buttoned up before tightening the passenger fender well. Also fitted the rear step bumper so I can mark and drill a few new holes so it’s securely attached with all eight bolts, not four. Installed the gas tank doors too.

OD or not, I still cruise with everyone else in the fast lane. Sure, the fuel cost is more than other options, but you don't have to go slow.

I thought the fuel cost chart was very interesting too. I'm still gonna b!tch about the cost of fuel though, lol.

We all said the same! My son & a friend went with me on the trip & when we "beheld" the artwork I immediately said "these guys  methed up & actually spelled thing instead of thang". My son joked the entire trip home of the artwork & had us hysterical by the time we got home.
Being a true son of the South, I don't like folks taking liberties with the stars-n-bars but thankfully we have freedom of speech & expression granted to us. The good folks out in Cali are doing a great job of that currently too.

I love my squares, but man I really don’t care for working around the A/C stuff, seems like it is always in the way. The nice R&M wire looms I have are meant for a small block with A/C. Guess what hits the compressor? That’s right, the loom. The 79 has really spoiled me not having to work with fenders or a hood, or sometimes a cab in the way. I’m too big to fit in the engine compartment, and too small to easily reach into the engine compartment.

Managed to drop these spacers and the spreader bars many times. Then have to go under the truck and hope they fell clear and retrieve them.

Sometimes that’s a great thing to do.

I think it was Clarkson that said (no matter what you think of him) “If you don’t stop and look back at what you’ve driving, you’re driving the wrong car” or something like that.

I love looking at my truck. Not as much as driving it, but I could still do it for hours.

Met the local custom shop on Sunday for a cruise out to Mount Baker. When we were getting ready to leave, I saw witness marks on my right rear tire. I opted to go back home instead to investigate.

The trim for the wheel arch overhangs further inboard than the fender itself on that side. So I got the death wheel out and relieved myself of that problem. The trim is far from mint anyway, and a guy can’t see that it’s been modified anyway. Carry on.

Yesterday I drove it around without issue. So now I’m fiddling with the GoPro and going to sometime soon make an edit with the truck.
