HotRod Institute! Cool place, I would have sent my son there if I’d known about it.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s too expensive for a hobbiest, unless rich and bored. Maybe my next life. But if your kid was into using his head and hands for a living, 100%!

Found, bought and installed a bed liner this weekend. I know, I know, it’s a drop in. But I’ve had both drop in and spray in and for the price difference I’ll go drop in every time. The spray ins that I’ve had haven’t really impressed me. And all our farm trucks have had drop ins installed when new with no rust or moisture issues. In my personal opinion, for what it’s worth, the rust issue with drop in liners is greatly exaggerated, probably as a selling point for the spray in guys since their products cost about 4 times as much as a drop in. Just my opinion.

Upgraded battery cables and installed Optima Yellow Top.

The primary battery cables are 1/0 gauge and secondary are 4 gauge. Used military style top posts instead of side posts.

Vince from www.custombatterycables.com made them...Kind of pricey, but the quality is top notch.

Got the drivers side done on my friend K5. Inner/outer rocker, lower kick panel, and some part of the floor replaced.
This is how it started.

I personally like the drop ins as well. No rust issues for me. Also you can dent the bed of a truck with a spray liner easier than a drop in.

so the tint stops the reflection? It grabs my eye cuz it looks like something is about to fly out the bed every time a car goes by. Annoying.
