Looks like the #1127 on the Camper Special, #1103 red(which is somewhat orangey) on the GMC.

All gloss orange, wanted it to match as I'm changing other things, like the fender emblems away from factory.

Made up both sides of the exhaust. Didn't put the cutouts in decided I didn't want to deal with them vibrating loose besides these mufflers are straight thru like an oversized glass pack so flow probably won't be an issue. Roughly where they will sit under the truck. The turnout isn't welded as there will be a clamp and hanger there and it may site with a bit of a downward angle once installed.

I bought one of those sixty dollar stick welders from Amazon and I have to say it's proven to be a wonderful little machine. My favorite welder so far.

Finally pulled the steering column out of the 76 to fix the rack that broke last year.

After finally finding a GMC grill for my 1980 it was todays project to get it fixed and installed on the truck.
Two broken horizontal ribs were salvaged from another grille and the top grill frame at the centre had a crack that needed to be repaired.
The repairs seem strong and I painted those areas to mask the work.
The grill I have is grey and silver which I understand means it was originally from a van. Still looks much better than the Chevy grill I was using. Maybe I will paint it, but for now just happy to get a GMC grille on there.

found out I didn't have brake lights from a co-worker. Pulled the lights and checked the typical grounds n such. Come to find out it was a blown fuse.

Thinking about it overnight, I remembered I'd recently put the rear step bumper on. Sure enough, one of the wires was pinched where the bumper bolts up. Easy fix.

Today I did a partial install of the dash cams (front/rear)....$60 on amaswan.

No pics from today but I pulled the Y pipe and (poorly) welded an O2 bung (w/ plug) in it then drove it to a little car show.

Tomorrow I’ll wire up the AFR gauge and install the sensor. It’ll be interesting to see the readings and get a feel for how my qjet is tuned.

Oh yeah - drove the Blazer too! (I am in so much trouble if the wife sees this. )

Washed and waxed the 84. Man this wax and compound is awesome! So easy to apply and wipe off! Put compound and wax on roof and just waxed the rest because I had already compound that earlier.

The cool thing about the wax is you can apply it to your windows, mirrors and chrome because it wipes off so easily with no streaks.

Let me know if you wanna try some and I'll send it to ya in a small bottle the will do you car a few times. It doesn't take much at all if you're paint is in good shape. If it's really faded it will take a bit more obviously. I did the half of the roof twice with the compound and one coat of wax afterwards.

Just waxed once on the rest of it. I forgot how well it works. I tried all the other maguire wax and others but nothing works as well as this does.

Got the fender wells stripped and painted with VHT and installed and mounted up my 3" Ultra flows. No fuel in the new cell yet I'll stop tomorrow and fill my jerry can after work and post a video of her running.

While I was in there, I cleaned up the frame rails and floor and rocker area as well as the underside of the bed back to the wheel opening and coated the whole area in POR15 on both sides.

Forgot I'm also in the process of swapping the serpentine CS, PS, and WP pulleys over to radius tooth to help with the belt slip I've been having.

The fella that does all my soda blasting has had my fenders for about 2 years. Wasn't in his way and I had no use for them yet. Well, after doing my doors, dash and cowl, his guys misunderstood and did the fenders too. So I had a pile of parts in bare metal that needed primed pronto. I have a decent sized garage (not really big enough for this but has to do), so everything had to come out to have the room to set it all up and get it primed. Project Millstone marches on.
