That looks like a TH350 with a np203.
Do you have a pic of the back of the transfer case? I would be able to tell for sure. Thanks

That’s definitely a 203 tcase.

The rods for a th400 vs th350 are different.

Actually just looking at both rods. They both measure about 30" to the first hole.
Maybe they are the same?

Looks like the rod I have came off a TH350/NP203. Should have marked it before throwing it on the shelf.

The 400 is longer, about 3”. There is a difference in length between a 203 and 205 so I’m not sure if that would coincidentally make the rod similar lengths.

The th400/np203 combo was available in mid/late 70’s square body 3/4 or 1 tons. This 32 spline 203 is widely used in Doubler applications.

there werent many tho
GM Clutched their pearls on using the full time only with a Turbo hydramatic BUT they also clutched their pearls on retaining NP205 for manuals. Maybe it just depended on which pearl and when was more important to clutch lol
You must be registered for see images attach

Not much can get you an adapter for a TH350/np203 to make it th400 and thats not including the shaft for the np203 but i imagine if someone is doing this work a shaft change would be not very unreasonable since they may be rebuilding anyway.

Neat adapter, your drawing or does someone produce that?

You’d also need the th400 tailshaft.

my bad yes It was the adapter website black and yellow. forgot the name. big one. also i think i may have misspoke because I think thats what i meant by shaft,

unless we didnt understand eachother. im saying you use a 4x4 th400 and then put it up to a th350 np203 with that to replace the one thats on the th350. according to them

Description

This adapter allows you to remove a factory 4WD TH350 transmission and install a TH400 transmission on your 203 transfer case. You may need the short 32 spline TH400 output shaft above. This adapter can also be used as a replacement adapter if your TH350 adapter is broken. Will not fit a 205 transfer case.
