Rather than everyone having their own Pull A Part thread, maybe we can do a DIY Wrecking Yard Thread that everyone can add to as they get pics and parts from their local yards.

We'll see what everone thinks and get opinions. If it's a Nawww, then I'll just convert this one to my own PAP thread.

For now, I"m out. Just took me a Tab, a Soma, and an Ibuprofen 800 with another dose on deck in the truck. Going to go see what I can acquire today in this 70 degree weather and hope to get the parts to fix my air distributor and heater core assembly.

I am fine with this if everyone else is. We can make it a sticky too since the Garage forum don't have any, I think it will be a good thread to pin.

Here are other threads I found, I thought Retro may have had a thread but I could be wrong or he has it named a certain way and I can't find it in search.

Anybody else have a thread they would like to combine in this please post a link here. :)

I'm not sure Retro has a DIY Budget Wrench thread, but he should as often as he goes.
Yeah, we could do that. Leave this one in the garage as a Sticky for the guys who go to salvage yards occasionally to share their scores. Then we can link the guys who go frequently in the first post of this thread like an Index or anyone else who wants a DIY Salvage Yard thread. Since I had the one you dug up from China, I'll at HRPC to the title and rock with it.

I think we all like seeing what others find, what else they see, and pics of what's in the salvage yards, along with what they paid for items if they want to say.

As long as we don't have 10 pages of crappy rusty green steel wheels.

Now who on this board would post up crap like that?????

I got a dana 60 dually front for $300, a 91 sububan complete core support with a good grile for $75, and a 4 speed with 205 for $150 other day all pulled for me. does that count as to a score at a pick a part yard?

Yep, pretty much used acquired parts will work. That's a steal on the D60. I'd buy all those I could for $300. However, the dual rear wheel units aren't as sought after, but still valueable.

Let's see those skids on the back of that Lincoln seat.
