The fob didn't work, had to get a new one and get it programmed. Daytime running light bulb is out, got new ones along with new wiper blades.
A new 14 volt DRL bulb, P/N 15199562 (trade bulb #4114K), is now available for use whenever a DRL lamp bulb on the above listed vehicles requires replacement. This more robust, higher voltage DRL bulb replaces P/N 1999482 (trade bulb #4157K). These bulbs should be replaced in pairs for customer satisfaction.

I bought two packs of 4114 incandescent, didn't want led, and just like brakes, seals, and other items that are both ds and ps, always change in pairs.

Is there light sockets in rear doors? If so, the sockets are missing. Either way, the lenses have broken tabs.

Radio is aftermarket JVC, and doesn't work. Radio fuse is good, amp fuse is good. Won't turn on, but if you press the cd eject button, you can hear that eject motor working.

Third brake light isn't working. Fuse is good. Need to see if the connection at the fixture is receiving power. May need a new third brake light.

Replaced wipers front and back, as well as the drl bulbs.

Debadged the license plates and the temp dmv on the windshield. Nobody cares where I got it, especially me.

DRLs, yeah who cares….
But drop in LEDs are a total game changer in the headlights and driving lights. And quality ones are now the same or less $ than normal brand name halogens.
I’m sure there are several brands that are good but I’ve been using Auxbeam brand for years now. The first set I had went in a vehicle around 2017-2018 and one of them crapped out last year.
Younger son has a Ram 1500 base model with the basic headlights and no driving lights. Rather than add a big light bar or driving lights, slapped a set of hi and low beam Auxbeams in it before he went back to Montana where spotting large animals at night before they become one with your vehicle is imperative. Drove it a couple weeks ago late at night. No light bar needed!
They turn 20-30 year old style headlights into something that lights up like a new BMW!

interesting seeing a denso alternator on your truck
The rear doors may have had the lights if those panels are original. if they are swapped your truck may have not been made with them. doors lost them in 03-07 it seems

DRL on these are nice in that they dont use your headlights to work, so they dont add hours to your bulbs/circuits
I use amber ones in mine, (legal in WI, not sure of everywhere) because I like the amber contrasted against the black truck.

There is actually very little proven benefit of DRL, GM just happened ot be a big pusher on them and for regulatory compliance in canada they had to be there , including the inability to turn them or the auto headlamps off by choice. sad for them.

So there IS an option if someone wants to. The same way you get 4hi mod with all 4 headlamps you can use the DRL to make an additional turn signal/park lamp that mimics the behavior (infact, you could probably manually wire it to the same effect , not sure if that year would freak or not.
It also could be used for something else if desired.

I do not recommend 4 hi mod because of the ability to not improve long distance safety in all conditions and actively harms vision in certain things up close like heavy snow or fog. If you made it switchable, that would work. like from in cab. 6 hi mod should be illegal period, it serves no purpose for seeing its actually just unsafe and shows me people like being assholes with what they hope is great visibility

I probably won't go the LED route, as I hate them. I haven't got the opportunity to run this at night, so I don't know what light output is. The lights do work, which is good. If I do break down and go the LED route, I'll check out auxbeam, thanks for the heads-up

If they don't have the lights, they should have the reflectors, no? Reflector lenses are what is in the glove box, but they cannot be installed as there isn't a housing, and the tabs are broken. I'll have to see what I find for availability.

There are some stretches of road here that require daytime headlights, so having the drl's operational is a must. I've driven on a certain stretch of road north of here, it's 65 mph, two-lane, and you definitely want the lights on, because you get impatient people passing. It's only an hour drive no matter how you slice it, so 65 isn't bad because most are simply doing 70. There are always those that want to go must faster, and I am one sometimes, just on the correct roads to do so.

I won't be modifying the lighting. I like things stock, or at least stock looking and stock operating.
