Lol, I can't imagine what would happen if I had tire covers on my trailers. I can guaran-damn-tee that I'd forget about them at night and move the trailer with them on.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that does (or would do) boneheaded moves like that.

Forgetting to take wheel covers off I think would pair nicely with my normal routine of forgetting to unchock the wheels, then wondering why it won’t move.

Got to use the winch pretty heavy the last couple of weeks moving cars around for my shop landlord. 2 camaros, a corvette, 53 suburban, a beetle and a 54 5 window pickup.

Then I moved my 78, the boys 95 and moved/sold the 3500 CC parts truck

It works really well, didn't seem to struggle much with anything. Most was all on concrete floors an stuff that rolled pretty easy after we got tires pumped back up. My stuff was outside by the time I got to it. No issues with the mount flexing or anything either so I think it'll be a decent setup. Overall still really happy with it an what all I've done to it.

Thought of another good safety thing today. I've been lowering the tounge jack all the way down just to make it something else they gotta do before stealing it. Today I got a 1/4" pin an took the bolt out of the handle so now I can lower it an then remove the handle too.

Probably overkill an ya it's just in the tounge box but hopefully another thing they will see an make them move along because of all the hassle.

I've never once worried about trailer theft. Either I'm in an area with little to no crime, or I'm just ignorant. I keep my trailers parked where I can easily back up to them and go.

I've always been a believer that 99.9% of theft is opportunity. If they can't just snatch and go, they won't bother it
Yep, I know if they really want it nothing will stop it from happening. Maybe I'm going overboard with some of it but the harder you make it the more likely they go look somewhere else. I need to go get a tag for it an add it too my insurance as well I guess.

I didn't really worry about the one we had with the business, but it stayed in a gated lot with cameras. This lot is also gated but no cameras. When I have it at home though, I worry more because I'm right off a main road now an it's pretty visible. I don't think they get stolen a ton around here but like Huck says if it's easy someone will take it.....
