A code reader, auto ranging multimeter, a set of feeler gauges and the internet is about all you need to diagnose and track down what's wrong. Usually you can find a list of things that could be wrong in order you should check them and it really makes it so much easier than OBDI.

For what little you'd use it, and you're not in the biz, this cheap one might work for you dawg. Its the cheaperst one I am aware of. Notice I did say cheap.

This is the info I am after, thank you. :High 5:

I still don't know which way to roll, what about if I bleed the brakes, will it still work?

You need a scantool to bleed brakes on some OBDII systems. You wont know it til you go to bleed the brakes unless it says it in the owners manual.
Oh, ok, thanks. :handshake:

Ok, new issue. Radiator fan is not coming on when a/c is turned on. Relay is good, fuse is good and is hot. Is there a sensor or is the fan bad? I am warming uo the car to see if it kicks on when hot, but it should come on automatically with the a/c shouldn;t it? A/c is fine and freezing when driving, get's hot at a stop or idle.

Fan motor might be bad. Jumper the fan motor to the battery to see if it spins or not. have you checked the coolant temperature sensor and radiator fan relay?

Why would the fan motor be bad if it doesn't come on when the AC is on??? What if it comes on as it should WITHOUT the AC on??? Bad Motor??? Why would it be the temp sensor if it comes on normally WITHOUT the AC on? He done said the relay is good. I think you're jumping the gun here grasshoppa. We need more info. I'll wait til he posts back and let's us know if the fam comes on when it gets over operating temp with or without the AC on.

What? The Fan won't come on? **** it !!! Rebuild the transmisison. That should fix you right up !!
