I think I can get new boards made fairly reasonable. I have dealt with the place that reverse engineers and manufactures them before. They told me most anyone I need to talk to is booked - try back after the first of the year.

Once spring happens (it's -32F here today) I will purchase a later model board with the motor and gearbox as a unit and see if it can be adapted.

Don't ask why - but I may need a new column-mounted wiper control arm and associated wiring - again.

I'd just like to thank everybody here. This post let me fix my pulse wipers. In my case, the SCR had 2 of the 3 solder joints broken. I simply resoldered the 2 legs, applied some fresh thermal paste, and it worked like a charm. Make sure you don't go too crazy with the thermal paste, though! The first time I reassembled it, the glob was too big and actually shorted 2 legs so it was constantly in pulse mode. Cleaned up my mess and it was good as new. It feels so good when you can fix things without using any parts!

Just a Big FYI for everyone, the schematic calls that out as a 1N4002 (1amp 100v) but on all the boards I have worked on, and even in the picture its a bigger diode. I have found G4B/4 diodes (obsolete) and other part numbers on there, they are all the same rating, it should be a 3 amp diode, part number 1N5408. Working on a test setup to check these easier and fix them. I have had lots of requests to fix them. I will keep everyone posted.
