Lol this is gonna be a long reply. Get comfy!

Which caddy? I’ve had a few. My wife has an 09 Escalade which we got a year ago. SUPER long story there but here we are. I had an 09 CTS wagon that I liked a lot. Replaced the transfer case on it then found out it needed a trans and rear diff. Unloaded it as due to age and miles the car wasn’t worth that expense. Had an ‘84 Eldorado for a bit. That car road like it was on a cloud and really enjoyed it. Downside is it has the 4.1 V8 which was unreliable. Was unfortunate because I had high hopes for that one.

Anyhoot, a few months back I got a crazy hair to throw the square burb up for sale. It was at a point where if I continued to improve it I was going to get into some pretty spendy projects with it. So, before I got into that I decided to throw it up for sale at a price that was high IMO but figured if I got it I’d let it go for that and move on to the next. I put it up for $16k and got $15,500

After that, I grabbed a super low mile 08 Malibu and flipped it. Then grabbed an 04 Monte Carlo SS. Intended to flip but broke even. Those are good cars but even super clean examples bring NO money for some reason. It’s wild.

That brings us to this V8 swapped S10 Blazer. I’ll grab pics and start a thread this weekend. She’s clean!

So currently have the ‘77, dually, 89 S10, and Esky. None of those are going anywhere. I’ll have this Blazer for at least a year but probably longer. Very excited about it.

Dang! That's a lot of buying and swapping, lol. I'm surprised the state hasn't made you apply for a dealer's license yet. I was thinking of the CTS. I forgot about you mentioning the Eldorado before. And I couldn't remember if you still had the maroon Burb or if it got swapped for something newer.

The maroon burb is why I had the CTS wagon. Traded with a friend. To make the story short we then got a ‘17 Yukon XL Denali, had it for 4 months before in stranded us for the 4th time with electrical issues. The last time I got desperate and traded it in at the dealership it sat at with no ETA on the fix and parts being unobtainium at the time. Got into a ‘22 burb for WAY too much $$$$. Didnt want to be in that so 4 months later I sold it to a different dealership at MSRP (got super lucky) and found this ESV with only 109k on the clock. Stupid clean. Was formerly a funeral home rig that lead the funeral parades. Still has strobes in the grill

Well, the V8 s10 blazer was a no go. LOTS of positives about it, but no rear seat belts, steering was SUPER sloppy, oil pouring out of rear main, gas leaking from under throttle body, trans shifting was “funky”….All fixable stuff but not looking to finish up someone else’s project right now and that’s just stuff I found after driving it for 10 minutes or less. Anyhoot, on to the next. Got a few cool possibilities that might be a thing

Thing actually had good giddy up to it! Definitely could use some suspension upgrades, though. Has a 2” body lift and quite a bit of body roll for a little SUV

You know, you could slam that thing and use a Bravada transfer case for the best of both worlds.

Nah, I’ve left it for someone else. I don’t need another money pit  Will be cool for someone with the time and in need of something to tinker on and take to the next level, tho
