Apparently its a Jeep thing. Why idk but that seems to be the case. I have not found anyone with this issue on a Ram even though they said they have heard of it. Found a few instances of it on non SRT jeeps though.I had planned to put that pan on my Ram, hadn't heard anything of it not fitting. That's interesting
Their solution now is to remove about 3/16-1/8" from the filter mount points an the pickup on the filter. That will get it away from the linkage an it should work then. I'm not crazy about that so I'm looking at just getting a stock pan to go back on it.
I will say though, I'm impressed with PPEs service on the issue. I bought this pan used, all I bought from them was a $30 filter, an actually got it through Summit. So even though I don't understand why they never tested this, apparently they had several people working to help me solve this an even pulled a similar vehicle in an dropped it's pan to measure clearances to figure out how much lower the filter needed to be. They have also removed the pan from from the SRT listing, but it does still come up under a 5.7l an 3.6l.
