Poodles(not the toy breed) are actually pretty large and stout. Cool dogs. My Dad had one growing up that was his best friend and now has two in his retirement years.

There was some Poodles that were used as part of a dog sled team in the Iditarod Race from Anchorage to Nome in the 90's.

I walked into the garage, moved some items I had stacked around it, leaned against another truck in the driveway, stared at it, looked at a couple difficult things I have to do, thought about it, went and got a hair cut.
Looked for the rest of the day for enthusiasm to get it done but wasn't to be found

Not so much to my square, but for my square.

Fought a bout of the effits myself and decided I didn't want to sit my britches in mud this winter, so I started a drainage ditch for the road runoff to effoff and go over the hill in a new place. If I can get on the roof before monsoon and reseal the nails I'll be 90%+ on water ingress. Not bad for a carport if I can get it.

No final decision on how to reinforce the cut yet. Should name this place Molasses Springs as fast as some of this stuff gets done.

IMHO, planning and preparation absolutely count. And since it does, I’m constantly doing something with my square.

Fired it up, moved it under the shade trees, swept the cr@p out of the bed, then scrubbed the bed, then gave it a good rinse and light brushing to dislodge any stuff sticking to it. Cleaned up good for a beater

This little guy here has been giving me issues.

Initially, I thought the rear main seal was giving me issues, to when I did the stall converter, there was no oil there. Next, I thought it was the China wall at the back of the intake but then I got to feeling around the oil pressure sensor and bingo.

Through many gymnastics I got it out today, the whole kit and caboodle. I’m sure it wasn’t like this at the factory, but there is one straight pipe out of the block, then a T, then another 90° above that. The oil pressure sensor for the gauge goes into the side, and the pressure switch for the choke goes into the 90 degree on top.

It works just fine, I’ve never just never such an amalgamation of different fittings. I used 59214 thread sealant. I’ll give ‘er 24 hours to cure then we’ll see if she still leaks.

I call it underhood yoga, except you hold poses for much longer. I guess you hold them longer, have never done yoga. I do know that getting into position under a hood, inside an engine bay, can be quite the workout. I can see now why a few members have opted to get the platform creeper that you plop your belly on and lay across the engine

Thankfully that 5” drop in the front really helps. Before I lowered it, I had the unpleasant experience of standing on a stool and have it slide out from under my feet. If it wasn’t passenger car height, I’d definitely have one of those.

Well, I didn't get the truck cleaned nor fender emblems mounted. I did get my new dash (JEGS) installed as well as getting the interior glass cleaned.
I painted this truck back in April & still have not washed it. After getting the running issues solved maybe now I can move on to getting it ready to be drivable...after getting it clean!

That looks amazing! Good fit? Lots of trimming?

I had to trim the passenger area around the A-pillar, use some longer screws over the ashtray & 2" drywall screws along the top of instrument cluster.
I've seen in some other posts where folks complained of fit issues with these aftermarket pads. For the $275 spent instead of $400 elsewhere...my bit of time & ingenuity worked it out.
I do still have to dye the defrost grids & install. Now the faded door panels look terrible too...

My wifes friend- Julie, who shall remain nameless, needed a ride to work. I picked her up and she wanted a Soda. I took her to her choice local 7/11. She came out with 2 Big *&^%ing gulps. Put one in the magnetic cup holder stuck to my dash, and which point 32 Ounces of Pepsi became airborne. I had 2" of the guck in my floorwell. Got a blanket from behind the seat and wooshed the soda out the door while she went and go clean up supplies. Steel headliner, dash, seat, it went in all directions. She came out with 4 napkins. ARGGG. Still sticky after 3 months. Her name is Julie, Julie Pepsi.

Made a panel to fix the other portion of the firewall. The plan is to make it look smooth, minus the flanges for the outside cowl panels

On with the weekend. Work ended early, so I picked kiddo up from school and got some burgers for a treat. We haven’t been to a burger stand in a while. It was fun listening to the 60s music and doing some education on 60’s restaurant font.

Nice truck. And it's the perfect color for the town you live in.
