Can anyone one tell me if you can go use normal crossover steering kit whilst also having 1” zero rates and axle moved forward. Am wanting the zero rates for that one inch lift but also want to use it to move the axle 1-1.5 inches forwards but also wanting crossover steering in the future.

you will have to ditch the swaybar. they usually both need the same real estate where they pass each other

Running a standard crossover steering kit with a 1-inch zero rate and a forward axle offset can be pretty tight on a square body. The main issue you'll run into is the drag link potentially hitting the engine crossmember or the oil pan, especially since crossover steering usually requires about 3 to 4 inches of lift to clear everything properly. Moving the axle forward 1 to 1.5 inches actually helps with tire clearance in the fenders, but it can make the geometry for the steering box and drag link even more awkward at such a low ride height.

I had a 4" spring and 1" zero rate with 35" and later 37" tires. I never felt i needed crossover steering as it rode well. I did feel that I could have used another inch or so of lift with the 37's when they were articulating. If you decide to go crossover, the factory swaybar interferes and you have to install/ fabricate a different one.

I believe I only moved the axle forward a half inch but could have been 1"

I will be removing my sway bar entirely and the stock steering is letting me down a bit since I’m running 44 inch tires. I do have hydro assist which helps but it’s still all over the road so that’s the mane reason for wanting crossover steering but I guess I’ll just have to try and see if it works

Push/pull steering and 44’s is fine, if it’s wandering I’d look for loose parts or caster out of spec.

I'm still firmly on the learning curve, but I didn't realize push/pull could be used with hydro assist. Am I reading that right?
