Wheel spacer question

I'm looking for some 1.5" wheel spacers for the back of my '77 K15 so the track width is the same as the front. The only ones I'm really seeing on a google search are Rough Country, and the reviews say that they won't fit the factory wheel studs, and the studs that they come with are made of soft aluminum and will bend, so I'm wanting to avoid those. What's a good brand? I'm looking for the style that bolts to the factory studs and provides new studs, not just a metal disc. Thanks!

I run Bora / motorsport tech steel adapter style spacers. They are great and made in USA. Get new wheel studs just to be safe.

Do you mean like typical aftermarket replacement wheel studs? If so, then yes.

G2 spacers is what my buddy had on his blazer before I built a later 14 bolt semi floater (about 3" wider than a stock SB rear).

If you're not planning on changing the rearend than get a set of wheels with better fitment. I don't like spacers not only because of all the cheap junk being sold but also knowing peoples' habits of checking things almost never especially when they can't see/access them without removing the wheels.

When they have an issue, it can be a major problem and your wheels coming off on the highway good materials and hardware or not is not only a safety concern for you but other drivers as well.

If you have to use spacers, use the shim style and install longer ARP studs so they can be seen and retorqued without pulling the wheels.

Do not lock tight your spacers.The problem with them losing torque is with expansion,contraction and shifting, hitting bumps. The nut's aren't backing off. So with lock tight you feel safe but your spacers are not necessarily tight,just the nuts are still where they were.

Just don't...don't use anything that is questionable, especially when it comes to wheels. There's rarely a mulligan

I found that when I put 2 inch spacers on the rear of my 77 GMC 1500, I had to put new longer studs in at the same time or I didn't have enough thread to get the lug nuts even with the end of the lug. Almost half of the lug nut wasn't even on the threads.

I've been using these 1.5" spacers on the rear of my suburban for a few years now with no issues. Purchased from Amazon

I have no suggestions to offer for brands (I've never run spacers on a square) but I've run spacers on a few newer trucks with no issues. As long as they're a quality brand (Bora, etc) and you check the torque regularly, they're fine. I've even towed with spacers plenty of times.
