Made an attempt at detailing my interior. Pretty nasty, going to take a few scrubbings. I’m digging the bench seats. Need to order some springs, she’s sagging bad. Going to make a nice work truck.

@DoubleDingo is the 81 a tilt column or not?

My 76 (tilt column) finally broke the pivot on the rack, it had been half broken for a couple years, I’d have to tilt the column down to get it to start, then it finally gave up completely.

If you remove the switch you can use a small Allen key or screwdriver to operate the switch hanging from under the dash. That is how I’ve been starting the 76 as I have not felt like dealing with it yet.
I might need to add a column rebuild to the next series of upgrades on my truck, I can't start it in the highest 2 positions or the lowest one. Hmm

Correct, Krylon Dull Aluminum O’reilly’s
Couldn’t be happier, went on easy, dried fast and looks great!
Read in a HotRod magazine in the 80s or 90s that Krylon dull aluminum was the closest to the original color Chevy used on their steel rally wheels, short of getting paint custom mixed.
I've used it for years with excellent results

Where did you order yours? Wasn't sure if we should replace or get rid of. Notice anything, like less noise?!

Got it from Summit. About $42. Can't really tell much difference noise wise but haven't really driven this truck any either. It looks nice and Id say its worth what was paid for it. Also I think I was probably trying to get my purchase up to the free shipping point.

No, just a hill on C470
On 470?

It's been decades since I have been back to ground zero and didn't realize 470 HAD hills. Last I knew it went from I 25 west to hwy 85, across the Platte river and out to Martin Marietta. I'm not surprised at it becoming a loop freeway for the metro area.

Suppose I should fire up the Google earth and see what 36 years away has wrought. Used to live in Columbine hills and went to Columbine high school. Yeah, that Columbine.... too bad about Bandemere Speedway, got my first taste of speed up there in high school. Boy were we high in school back then, lol.
