Not as much as I wanted to because the rust was worse than expected so I gotta take more off before I can get it better. Not a HUGE deal but it will impact schedule since this is like my second job at this point. I got this welded in but not closing the hole up until I can sandblast the cowl and get rust inhibitor on there.

Apparently the Brodix heads are recommended for Champions RN12YC. But having header clearance (as a lot of us do), searching out for shorter plug becomes a task of cross referencing all the various acronyms and alphanumeric jargon out there. Apparently the NGK BKR5E is a suitable replacement. I spent the morning comparing various plugs that are applicable at O’Reillys.

After that, I came home and swapped back to the rally wheels.

Thinking about selling off the Halibrands and trying something else, but we’ll see. I’m in no rush.

Perry’s got it, with the 5 foot brush hog (an old BmB, not some farm store special) it’s heavy enough that it’s in some state of almost wheelie or doing a wheelie all the time. Same goes with the boom pole, steering gets very light, very quickly when loaded.

That’s about 100lbs extra up front, could use another 100 easily.

If you shim out your bottom door hinge a smidge (it’ll raise the latch slightly) and get the latch to clear the striker there it will close even smoother.

Yes it is, it turns out that backing the trailer up to it or a pickup puts things at the almost perfect height to load and unload without ramps/minimal elevation change. Almost like a loading dock.

It’s my friend’s (the owner of the Ford 2000, 75 K5, 05 Ram).

It’s a 1988 Baja 240, started life with a 454, now a 540 big block. His father purchased it new in 1988, they take very good care of it.

Although it did have another boat land on it in party cove when a freak storm popped up once. That was probably 20 years ago or better.
