I’m not sure if you have a shop or in a warehouse- I need your space - I would look less cluttered lol

Managed to strengthen the wheel Dollie’s today, and get a hand cleaning up the shop, final sweep tomorrow and ready for a busy Monday of rust removal on the cab and box floor

Pulled the C20 out of hibernation to prep for the body swap. It's been sitting in the lean-to for 10 years with crap stored in and around it, cat's peeing on the wheels, sleeping on the roof, sliding down the flanks, etc. It cleaned up pretty well, will clay bar and buff after it sits on the K20 frame.

Finished up with installing the heater box and AC delete cover. A lot more room under the hood! Looks pretty good IMO but will look at alternate locations for the vacuum canister and clean up the wiring a bit. Also made up some hard lines for the transmission cooler to get rid of the rubber hoses.

Now I need to troubleshoot why the blower motor doesn’t run. Figure its something in the relay or resistor but don’t know yet. The blower runs fine if you put power directly to it.

NOT my square, but I took the speedometer driven gear out of the Chevy II transmission to see what I had. The speedometer reads way too fast. Got a 31 tooth driven and couldn't tell what color the drive gear is? All of this is in a 2004R transmission. Guess I'll have to pull the pan and the governor and see what I have. Probably better order the gears the calculator calls for, so I can fix it instead of letting it sit waiting?
I should have tagged Nick @NickTransmissions for this post.

Used a one inch spacer to adapt a factory air cleaner with the complete Thermac warm air system to a 600 Holley.
The Vintage Air condenser lines took the factory air intake spot in the core support so I'm gonna adapt the fresh air intake it to the passenger side inner fender.
I'll fab up a "Stove" for the Hooker manifold next...

Just out of curiosity, how many rears are you planning on building?
Of my own stuff two to three at some point. I'd like to build an 8.75 for my Dart to replace the 7.25 rear. Then either go through the 12 bolt in the 76 or build a semi float Dana 60 for it. Potential regear on the Dana 60/70 in the Ram to 3.73 from 3.55.

I have one or two 8.75s for my friend to go through in the future. I have kind of become the differential guy in my small group of friends lol.

So there are a few in the pipeline. Already I can say I like the stands, it holds the axle very rigidly. I had in the past borrowed adapters to hold them with an engine stand, it worked but I really didn't care for it.

Beautiful day for a drive! Temps in the 70s, blue sky. The wife and I hopped in the Blazer and went for a drive, ended up getting some groceries and dog food.

Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow, with a high in the 30s, lol.

@legopnuematic

Think something like this would do a decent job as a housing clamp?

I've got a large one already mounted to an old welding table. It works great for holding hydraulic cylinders. I'd just have to find a 2nd clamp, of course.

I think it would work well, make a riser block to get it up higher for pumpkin clearance. Really one vise and one height matching v block from wood or fabricated would probably work just fine. Two vises would definitely be a that's not going anywhere.

Then it's well worth the effort. All the ones I've done that weren't in the vehicle I just stood them on a pair of jackstands. But if I was doing more I'd definitely want them more secured and standing height.
