I've seen this thread on several other forums and it's usually a good one and is good for posting up those little things that may not really belong in a build thread but just to make mention of :D

Lately I've driven her a little bit (she loves the heat!). I'm getting ready to do some little things to her pretty soon, though. The comp/temp mirror mod should be accomplished in the next week or so. I've also got a couple of small custom touches in mind but those will remain a secret for now :secret: Should turn out looking nice, though :)
Quick brake job

Taking care of the previous owners mess up. Used an old motorcycle plate to cover this up and then added sound deadening on top. Also picked up a liquid kustoms 2in billet coloumn mount. Fits like a glove

Finally got the axle fixture finished up, drilled and tapped holes into the table to bolt it down and then got the axle in place.

Just out of curiosity, how many rears are you planning on building?

I installed a cheezy hitch reciever today. I don't intend to tow on the road with it, I just want the ability to move trailers around the yard when the ground is soft or snow covered. It's got a lot of contact patch compared to my tractor.

I'm not sure if I'm going to burn a big fat plug weld into that center hole or not. It would add substantial strength, but it will be very annoying if I ever want to remove it.

Also exterior windshield washer lines and cowl, then mounted the grill to see if the white color is runnable, it looks okay from 10 feet like the rest of the truck. I need to complete the door lock and mirror wiring before I can mount the fenders, need to extend some wires and add 4 pin wire connectors so a bunch more piddly stuff. Also, more wire stuff in engine bay which is far easier to do with the fenders removed so probably anther several weeks at my slow pace.

NOT my square, but I took the speedometer driven gear out of the Chevy II transmission to see what I had. The speedometer reads way too fast. Got a 31 tooth driven and couldn't tell what color the drive gear is? All of this is in a 2004R transmission. Guess I'll have to pull the pan and the governor and see what I have. Probably better order the gears the calculator calls for, so I can fix it instead of letting it sit waiting?

Looks great. Is it going to be a garaged vehicle and never see any rain? Was each board sealed on all six surfaces, with extra sealing for the end grain and multiple coats? Would hate for all that hard work to be done but only partly-done. The truck is being done in great detail, sometimes the bedwood doesn't get the same attention to detail and prep.
