By the way, points for whoever mentioned it slybeanx.

You can convert your 4.3 to a 5.7 by a correct PROM chip, tbi (afaik, 4.3 and 5.0 are the same tbi, but 5.7 is different bore size), and you would need the correct 8 cylinder distributor.

Hoping he finds a complete 5.7 burb with ecm. Throttle body distributor and all..I thought 4.3 5.0 5.7 all used the same throttle body with different injectors. IDK

You know what, you are correct.
4.3, 5.0, and 5.7 are the same just the injectors change.

The smaller 2.8 or whatever is different.

I believe that's true. 2.8 used a smaller unit and 7.4 used a larger unit.

Yeah, the 3.1 too. Iirc, it used the same injectors as the 2.8 though. Or at least, they are close enough that it works fine.

It would still be gone.But he'd be closer.Cool, not sure how that would help him, but thanks for sharing.

Damnit I try to suppress the inner smart ass, some times I can't.
