So.. the other day I came across this post that had to do with having a "soft spot" for a certain car.. you know.. something we always would like to have, or thought it would be fun to have, besides our squares of course!

Just thought it interesting to see what you guys would like... Me personally, I have a soft spot for those early 80's big luxury coupes... you know the ones with the vinyl tops and all cushy and cruiser status... Just thought those always had a classy look to em.

might haul off and find me one out there... :Big Laugh:

That pic reminds me of the LeSabre I used to own. The thing had a Poncho 301 non-turbo engine and was a D-O-G. It rode well though, aside from the headliner being in your face constantly.

My soft spot is for first gen firebirds, although I can't imagine why...

Century, Celebrity, Ciera and 6000s were all available in convertible form. They were sent out to coach builders, so if your dealer knew the right people, you had yourself a FWD GM a-body convertible.

Matter of fact... the second car I ever owned was a 1971 Oldsmobile 98... with Cream Color with Avacado Green Interior.. power everything.. big 455. Bought it for $750 off of the 81 year old original owner... wit 76,000 original miles...
Similar to this...

that there is a land yacht!

Heck ya!!... I can use to stuff like 7 people all at once in there... three in the front and I had like 4 chicks in back... took em cruising during the summer nights.

That thing had some serious power though... there was nothing like the sound of that thing opened up... that carb and exhaust was throaty as heck..

it literally threw you in the seats..
