Truck is running at about 75%. Went out and got a fuel pump this morning and put that in. Transmission is leaking like a sieve for some reason. The engine is running good, just have a few kinks to work out, has a hesitation and rough idle, I think is all caused by a vacuum leak I need to track down. Also need to hook it up to my laptop and see if anything is going on there. But no abnormal noises except a noisy A/C compressor (probably need to replace that soon) no check engine light and no other problems. With the trans leak, I can't take it for a test drive but will try tomorrow.

Trans leak is a bit unexpected isn't it? Where is it coming from?

Seems to be coming from the dipstick tube, perhaps I knocked the seal out of place or something. I'll slide under it tomorrow and see.

Or pinched it or squished it, BUT, normally if it's the dipstick tube, it'll leak while parked too. Not just running. No pressure at the tube. Just gravity. It would be nice to be that easy though. Maybe a loose cooling line fitting at the case. I've seen that happen. Where the brass fitting that goes into the trans case was loose, not the line itself. This happens sometimes when someone takes a previous line line loose and fitting spun, but it was never tightened back up.

It doesn't leak much while parked but it does drip a little.

I overfilled it accidentally a while back and it was hemorrhaging fluid all over a parking lot, since I put the engine in, it shows nothing on the stick when running right now so I haven't run the engine much but it still drip, drip, drips. I will check the connections as well just in case.

worth while to just get a new seal if it is the base of the dip stick. I fought with one for a while before giving up and waiting for a new one to arrive. Easy to damage the original one.

You called it, they had worked themselves loose.

Went ahead and did that too as I wasn't sure if the drips were from there or had been telegraphed down from the lines.

Took it around the block a few times, need a few more tweaks but this thing is like driving a little red rocket. :driver:

Glad it was an easy fix and it didn't have to come out for a front seal or drop the pan.
