i was sad the cluster in the above truck didnt have a gas gauge tach, esp since it appears to be a gasser originally
whats an air pressure gauge gonna do for me ;(
Do I need to check my C60 parts roach? 85 with Custom Deluxe badging powerline truck. Even has a brake line lock and dual battery control parts still. SM465 with passenger side pto, 350 with a governed Zenith 2bbl. Truck is junk, was going to swap the engine/transmission into a late 40s 1/2t.

Can you post a pic of the brake line lock? I’ve never seen a factory one. If you’re parting the truck I’d be interested in it if it looks like it will fit my Blazer.

Since it's mounted off to the left, did that cable run to under the hood, rather than the throttle pedal?

Looks like that was a higher trimmed truck. That passenger door panel is the Cheyenne type.
the passenger door didnt match the driver door , heres a pic of the dump truck

You can see the door panels are different so prob a donor door on one side
This c65 has a lot of gears plus what I think is an auxiliary overdrive or gear splitter, that switch maybe for the rear axle taped to the shifter

Was wrong about the gauges, the truck has a vacuum not an air pressure. I suppose this was before hydroboost so was that for maintaining safe amounts of vacuum for braking?

The air pressure gauge was for trucks equipped with air brakes. My memory is foggy, but I think the master cylinder on the firewall might have a single line that goes to another brake cylinder under the floor that has vacuum or hydraulic assist?

I'm also curious if parts from this truck are available. That throttle cable deal is pretty cool.

when i go back i can check it out more
I also found a 1980 with great front end condition headlight bucket/bezel and the valence but no grille or passenger side those ocmponents

This yard has MANY squares. And I found one with a plow setup im thinking i should see if its still there down the road, may be abble to get something nice :)

I found a few burbs but usually wrecked sadly

@Scruffy49 I’ve had a min to look do some googling and wanted to clarify - when you say your parts truck has a line lock do you mean it’s got a valve of some sort in the brake fluid line itself or is this something for air brakes?

Fluid line, electric over hydraulic control. Truck has hydroboost, not air brakes.

When you have a chance, I’d love to see pics. I’ve never seen one.

line locks on air brake vehicle makes sense. on hydraulic brake, that doesnt sound smart... from factory this would be unwise on a vehicle old enough with a single system master, but on split just dont tap both circuits. what is the purpose of wanting to use line locks for you? Is the parking brake not enough? Or to be a traction aid without a locker?

If this question is for me, I’ve used them in the past for a couple of things when installed on the rear brake line;
1) E-brake, I have rear disc brakes but the big calipers I’m using don’t have an e-brake option.
2) Block pressure to the rear brakes to dig the rear tires down to help hold the truck during heavy winching.
3) Duh! Block off the rear brakes for big burnouts! lol

It’s a retired utility company lineman’s truck. Set parking brake. Set line lock. Put in neutral, engage pto, operate the bucket lift boom. It applies the front brakes as well as the parking brakes.

Will likely add it to my gmt400 K3500 c&c dually for heavy winching. Selective cutting hardwoods that require winching to retrieve logs for milling on the farm.

shouldnt it have those arms that stabalize into the ground kinda like a fire truck?
Still not understanding why it would be needed to "lock" the front and rear brakes hydraulically with a parking brake. Maybe im not understanding something?
