The problem seems to be the pro-flo is in your way. A carb would suit you much better. I’ll give you a smoking deal on an eddy carb I have in trade for the pro-flo. Limited time offer.

Well @Frankenchevy , I hope your day was better than mine!

Converting from auto to manual is about about 8 out of 10 on the pain in the ass scale! I wasn't expecting this much BS.

****. I put this reply on the wrong thread. Meant to go under Frankens other thread about the trans swap.

Shifter is Lokar floor mount. Had to lose all that factory. Linkage for the headers and pipes.

Pro-flo 4 efi has arrived! Stay tuned for install and review thread. Most notable thing I noticed right off is that every component had an AC Delco part number (the sensors anyway). That $130 polished air cleaner assembly comes free with the kit. I didn't need it but, free is free.

I highly doubt the Cleaner Cover was free!! You paid a helluva lot for that EFI. I think Edelbrock can throw in a 20 dollar cover! !

Hey y'all. Got a few pix here of the install. It's been slow going due to other things going on. One of the big time consumers is the wiring. I've had to pull unused wires out of loom, run new wire, etc. I try to install the wiring like factory for reliability. I run wire, crimp the terminals, solder it, heatshrink over it, loom it and clamp it. Very time consuming.

As you can see, so much for a clean, uncluttered engine compartment! Between the Vintage Air, Dakota Digital guages, serpentine drive , remote fuel sump and dual electric fans...it gets busy.

Anyway, I'll add some details about the install soon. Just wanted to give an update. Hope to fire it up in a day or two.

No. Summit Racing thru the air cleaner in for free. Whether Edelbrock gets kickback from the distributor is another story.

No. The PF4 has its own regulator.

Damn, the rookie I talked to at Eddy gave me all kinds of crap info. First, he told me I can’t run a blaster ss 8207 coil even though it’s through a cdi box...now this? He told me I need to run an external regulator...

WAIT. My bad.

I'm using an Edelbrock remote sump that has the built-in regulator.

Sorry bout that.

However I'm using the 8207 coil. Works fine but in hindsight I would prefer the epoxy filled version. Same thing but vibration resistant.

Unless you’re using it with a CDI box

Damn. I meant I'm using the 8202, not the 8207 . You're killing me with part numbers...or I'm really tired. :suicide:
