on my 82 the previous owner ripped off all the body side moulding for whatever reason and left the 2sided tape...its been like that for a couple of years so the tapes on there pretty good...

does anyone know a good chemical that will aid in removing this?

i'd like to find something i can maybe spray on and let soak and hit it with a plastic scraper or something...

any ideas?

they make crap like that, emblem and adhesive remover, spray can and plastic scrapers, or use the stripping disc, it's a plastic disc and goes on a drill, alot of guys use it.

3M makes an adhesive "eraser" wheel. Use that and your thumbs will be VERY grateful. It can be found at any auto parts store. Just google the item and you'll find it :)

This is BY FAR the best way. The only people that recommend another method are people that haven't used the eraser wheel.

:High 5: I've used the wheel several times and love it. Makes the job MUCH easier and quicker. I'll never do it any other way.

It's not really a plastic disc, 89sub. It's more of a soft rubbery compound.
