I would love to add these type of seats to my 84, but a couple of questions first. First, does anyone just sell the mounting brackets to go between these and the original holes in the floor? I don't have any welding skills, and cant afford to have someone make them for me(Only one working as wife is out on unpaid medical leave). 2nd, if there is such a bracket, would the seat be low enough to clear the steering wheel like my original bench? This is my daily driver, and plan on several Route 66 trips eventually so want something a little more comfortable with the console/3rd seat setup. Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before. I don't plan on using the headrests though. My truck is an 84 Sierra 2500

That's the front seat that my OBS crew cab has, but IIRC the brackets are different on ex cab because the floor is a different shape and contour than the regular cab and crew cab. Hope this helps....

It is fairly simple, it can be done with no welding if you can make some risers for the inner front sliders. This is one way its been done.
