You can use a grinder with a cut off wheel :waytogo:

uuuhhhhh......good point. :help:


maybe drop the tank first??? :shrug: OR outline where you want to make your access panel, use a hole saw to get yourself started in one of the corners then use a hack saw to cut your panel out.

Petty cool almost looks like an original except the top sides of the cowl need to be a little more rounded off but for home fab looks good i would do this any day over buying a brand new one.

I did the fuel pump access door, I used an air hammer with a three-fingered sheetmetal cutting bit.
