Depends on what you currently have going on. Is the motor stock?

Best performance mod is probably a broadband A/FR meter so you can tune the carb properly.

Hi Rich,
This will work with a Qjet carb?
From a '85 305, reusing on a 350.

Any carb. All carbs have the same goal, to create the optimal air/fuel mixture. They don't do it as precisely as fuel injection, because fuel injection has a computer monitoring an O2 sensor in real time -- it is a closed-loop control system -- where a carb is adjusted and then runs open-loop. But you will never get a carb to its best settings without a meter so you can dial in the carb settings to get the mixture right.

An A/FR meter hould be the next thing you buy after a timing light. THEN worry about headers and manifolds and carbs and and advance curves and exhaust systems and all the rest.

Hi Rich. I assume that you have to weld a bung in the exhaust system for the sensor? A sensor kinda simular to a o2 sensor is what give you your readings ,Right?
Thanks for your advise.
