Product Application(s):
1984 Chevrolet C20

ALL MAKES; 2 WHEEL DRIVE

Advance Auto 57.99 + $4.86tx = $62.85

Decided to Check Rock Auto First before I placed my Online Order at Advance.....

ACDELCO Part # 9618G
WIRE KIT,SPLG 2 WHEEL DRIVE; w/CALIFORNIA EMIS(NB2)
$17.34 1 $17.34
Subtotal $17.34

Rock Auto Total $26.01

I think I've got the 2-3 days to wait for them to get here. :waytogo:

BTW, I wasn't concerned about the 5% discount, but I certainly wanted Rock Auto to know the Biz came from GMSB, so I did use the Discount Code and got the .87 cents off.

:jawdrop: Wow, that's less than I can buy off brand wires for. I might have to get a set to replace the el-cheapos the previous owner put on.

Plug Wires is one thing I will not skimp on. I do like to stay OE AC Delco on all ignition parts, but I'm not afraid to use Mallory or Accel Dizzy Caps and Rotors.

This is exactly why I always check Rock Auto before ordering any parts for any of my vehicles! Many times Rock Auto's prices (WITH delivery) are so much cheaper than that parts stores it only makes sense to order from them. The only time I don't is if a part fails and I have to get back up and running as quickly as possible.

I work not far from Jegs, I just swing in there and pick up a set of their wires for $30 or so. They are very comparable to Accel wires and are IMHO a better wire set than even the AC Delco.

So to see if I could take advantage of shipping on RockAuto, I checked on AC Delco Plug wires for the 85 K1500 too. Yep, they had them for $23.XX and since they shipped from the same warehouse, it only increased shipping by .06 cents. So I have 2 sets coming, 1 for the 84 C20 454 and 1 for the 85 K1500 350. Grand Total to the front door, $48.67. Pretty amazing considering it would have been over $122 if I had bought them locally at a "DISCOUNT" Auto parts store. :waytogo: Saved $74 on 2 sets of AC Delco brand wires.

AC Delco plug wires for my '84 K10 are $30.79 :wtf2:

I wonder what's so different between 84 and 85 to warrant a $7 difference?

One set is angled boots for the Small block, other set is straight boots for the big block.

I meant difference between my 84 sbc and your 85 sbc. And I would actually prefer straight boots with the factory manifolds.

Ahh I see. You chose 305. Choose 350 motor. I see no reason they won't work.

My Big Block wires are all straight boots and the nice big boots. Hell, go order that set for $18 that I got for my 84 C20. There was only 4 sets left after I placed my order. I was going to do the same and get 2 sets of the big block wires, but my 85 K1500 has headers, so I needed angled boots, and I hope to straight wire boots work too.
