Hey I’m looking to lower my truck something like a 2/4 drop. Why all do I need or can you get some kind of kit? Also what is a good brand? Or could someone point me a forum I could read? Thanks!

As bluex said, the linked thread has a lot of good info.

In short,
Front - spindles, all day - every day. Retains original geometry and (mostly) alignment.
Rear - shackles.

Same thing I was going to say but that's going to get him 2 or 3 in the front but only 2 in the rear. But it would be cheap and easy. I think @xm20k has some front lowering spindles for sale

About a 3.5-4hr drive from me. I have an entire CPP 4/6 kit with maybe 200 miles on the truck before changing up a lot of my build.

Springs, spindles with new Big Ten rotors and bearings, flip kit, notch kit. as well as a bunch of other C10 stuff.

Shoot me a message if interested and I'll make you up a complete list.

Sorry Rick didn't mean to quote you in that.

For that small of a drop, spindles in the front and drop shackles/hangers in the back. Springs would probably be cheaper, either drop springs or cutting coils, but then you're messing with your camber.

I used belltech spindles on mine, but I think any of the big brands would be fine. Can't make a recommendation on the shackles/hangers because I did a flip kit - but you don't want that as you'd be looking at more of a 5-6" drop in the rear.

One thing to consider when using spindles is future front brake plans. Some will fit stock and some are designed for aftermarket brakes. Don’t pigeon hole yourself.

Exactly what I have on my '81 c-10. 2" drop springs in the front, 2" shackles in the rear . and 2" spring mounts for the foreword end of the rear springs. My truck sits level. I fabricated Timbren bump stops that allows me to carry quite a load with no worries or sag. Keep a lookout for shackle to bed strip contact.I had to trim away the bed reinforcement ends to clear the shackle, no big deal. Parts are available at LMC and the Timbren took light fabrication.

Start your own thread. It gets confusing working on 2 different vehicles on the same thread.
