Put the Dodge in the Garage !!! I figured it was a Dodge trans when I seen the title, 727. I didn't think we were talking about an aircraft. Dave almost thought he had some work to do.

I've got pics of a 700r4 looking the same way.

Buddy had one come apart like that in a derby truck. Stupid thing finished the derby, done off the track, and onto the trailer, then that was all she wrote. No clue why or how it kept moving.

It was a wild explosion I feel bad for the guy he blew the motor 3 weeks ago and just got it running 2 days ago for this opening day mud season. he put it back to gether spun it up to 7 k and bent push rods. then fixed it for the mud run . now he has this Dam got to love the dedication.last year ge broke the chain transfer case the truck locked up all 4 wheels it hopped off the track with two skidders pulling it. tough luck

Well, sometimes you make your own luck. Like when you choose the breed of truck you're going run. At least he's finding his limitations and getting back to the drawing board and making it better each time I hope. Sometimes, you gotta break alot of **** before you get it right.

I seen one do it just like that, live, in person and up close. At the dragstrip in a 6.0 GTO, scattered the 4L60-E and trans flud all over the track right at launch.

Thats why NHRA drags and some mud tracks make you wrap the trans with a kevlar blanket wrap or a blow sheild plate 3/8 thick . i googled kevlar wrap and seen a mopar with a hole in the passangers door you could put your fist through. Thats how people loose limbs.

From what I've read about auto trans shift kits, the increase in pressure from oversizing certain holes in the seperator plate is phenominal, especially if people get a little overzealous about how big to make the hole. Bigger is not always better in this instance. And if the trans isn't set up for dual feed, all that pressure = catastrophic failure.
