Yeah the Trans is out of a 92 Burb with 58K or so miles. The owner used it as his boat tow rig.It also is mated to a TBI 350 with a Mcullagh super charger. He went with a LS2/ 4L80E.According to the stickey post on I.D. the 700s this is the one I want. They say the trans is perfect BUT??? Are there any upgrades that need to be done before I stuff it in ?? What say you 89 Suburban....

I know that there is a fluid passage that should be enlarged in the front pump, But thats the best unit to have.

I wouldn't be afraid to run it, but 58K on that one is probably comparable to 100K on another. After all, it was behind a supercharger and in front of a boat.

If you're gong to tear it apart for sure, go with the Beast sunshell by Sonnsax, or the New GM Smart Shell. I'd also ugrade the 3-4 clutch pack to the either the Z pack or the Alto Commerical clutch pack. The Alot commerical clutch pack makes morse sense to me, but some guys swear by the Z pak. No need to sleeve the input drum unless your running a ton of horsepower or over 5500 rpm. There are some shift valves in the vavle body that you'd want to check too. I'd have to get my diagrams to know for sure which ones. And of course, go with the Corvette shift servo to firm up the 1-2 soggy shift. There are other things that can be done too, but they also cost money, and might be overkill for you. But those big 3 for sure. Beast Sunshell, 3-4 clutch pack upgrade and Corvette Servo and the bare minumum you should do to any 700r4 build.
