Looking at one tomarrow. Only catch is checkengine light is on for the vap system? Simple and cheap fix or what? Has 129k no rust thanks for any input. Its the 5.3

MIght have just been a loose gas cap. Newer stuff if you leave them loose once the emissions system will throw the light.

Tell 'em to meet you at Autozone w/it to let you get the code out of it. That might help you decide it's a risk you'll want to take.

That should be an easy fix, get them to knock a few bucks off the price for the light being on.

I think the vent valve filter for the evap system gets full of mud and dirt, which causes the light to set, you can replace the valve and filter and leave it in the same spot, or you can relocate filter to underhood, where its less likely to see mud(hopefully)
